Meeting set for today on Cloud Street improvements

The city of Salina will have a public meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 today at Emmanuel Christian Center, 1325 E. Cloud, concerning improvements to Cloud Street from Ohio to the flood control levee.
Plans for the $1.8 million project, which has not been funded, will be on display at the church. They call for replacing an asphalt road with open ditches with a two-lane road with curbs and gutter, a sidewalk on the south side of the street, and a bicycle-pedestrian path north of Cloud.
City and project consultant representatives will be at the meeting to answer questions.
