Clay Center FFA gets new Ford F250 donated

CLAY CENTER — Clay Center Community High School’s FFA chapter now has a $40,000 pickup, thanks to a donation from Ford.
Nick Regier, the FFA chapter’s adviser said that Ford partners with the national FFA each year, selecting one school in the country to receive a pickup, with the decision based on FFA scholarship applications.
“From every school in the nation, they take the top three applications and score them,” Regier said. “Whichever school has the top score gets the truck.”
The school took possession of the truck late last week.
The F-250 Super Duty pickup retails for around $40,000.
Regier said the truck will be used for a variety of school-related needs, including transporting FFA members to events, farm visits, running errands, and “a lot of community activities.”
