City to discuss map appeals
Salina city commissioners will hold a study session to discuss floodplain map appeals before their regular meeting Monday.
The study session beings at 2:30 p.m. in Room 107B of the City-County Building. The regular meeting begins at 4 p.m. in Room 107. A full agenda may be viewed on the city's Web site, www.salina-ks.gov.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency began remapping the floodplain in Salina in 2004. Maps are based on digital surveying and aerial photography.
At the regular meeting, commissioners will consider allowing new equipment and overhead doors at two Casey's General Stores.
Commissioners will also consider an ordinance allowing the Board of Zoning and Appeals to permit window tinting to become a home occupation in residential garages.
