Better Business Bureau releases warning about website
By the Salina Journal
The Better Business Bureau of Kansas has sent out a warning about a website called myliquidationoutlet.com that sells items such as exercise equipment, bedroom sets and tools.
The website advertises the BBB seal, indicating the site is an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, but the site is not accredited with the BBB.
Consumers became suspicious when, after shopping online for items on Craigslist, they were redirected to the liquidation website and instructed to purchase a Green Dot Money Pak cash card or pay through Google Checkout.
The website was researched and found to have been created Feb. 6. Also, the person listed as the administrative contact said she is not associated with the business.
The Better Business Bureau warns consumers to be extremely cautious when buying from unfamiliar online companies, especially when the businesses require cash or other nontraceable money transfers.
For more information, contact the BBB office, 1-800-856-2417.
