Hoedown fundraiser planned by FCCLA
ASSARIA -- An old fashioned Country Western Hoedown is 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Blomquist Auction Gallery east of Assaria, to help the Southeast of Saline FCCLA chapter raise money for Children's Miracle Network and Operation Hope.
FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
Pipe Creek Band will perform, and there will be line dance lessons. The Leadership 101 class is planning activities.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
A barbecue pulled pork meal will be served for a donation. For a meal count, please RSVP by Nov. 2 by calling Southeast of Saline, (785) 536-4286 or toll free, 1-888-251-9369.
Drawings will be held for baskets, donated by area merchants, to help support children who have been adopted through Operation Hope in Kenya. Tickets for are $1 each or six for $5.

Please come and support these wonderful students. Their goal to raise money for service projects is truly one of those "Points of Light". Besides, the food, music and prizes will be fantastic!!
