Presentation to focus on 'U the Astronomer'

CONCORDIA -- Dan Glomski, planetarium director of the Hastings Museum in Nebraska, will be featured at Cloud County Community College's special star party Sept. 19 in commemoration of the International Year of Astronomy.

The theme of Glomski's presentation, which is at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre, is "U the Astronomer." Following his presentation, about 8 p.m., attendees will go to Cloud's Earl Bane Observatory to view the solar system's largest planet and the Galilean Satellites.

People attending the event should park in Lot No. 1, near the tennis courts, or Lot No. 2, with the flag pole.

The presentation is part of the Cook Lecture Series.
