Agricultural workshops planned
ASSARIA -- Two daylong Risk Assessed Marketing workshops are planned Jan. 26 and 27 at the Assaria Community Building.
The workshops will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. each day.
Registration is $20 a person and covers all workshop materials and a noon meal. Registration is required by Jan. 20. The workshops are limited to 30 persons a day.
The RAM I Workshop on Jan. 26 is designed for producers who are just starting to use risk-management tools, including commodity board-traded options.
RAM II on Jan. 27 is for producers who have used advanced trading strategies such as the selling of covered put options to reduce crop insurance cost.
Mail checks payable to CKD No. 3 to Central Kansas Extension District, Box 5040, Salina 67402-5040. Please designate whether you are attending the RAM I or RAM II workshop, or both.

Each workshop will include a case farm study, with participants managing a typical grain farm.
