Bereavement support offered

HERINGTON -- A bereavement support group offered by Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County meets at 7 p.m. Mondays at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 114 N. Eighth in Herington.

Chris McKee, a bereavement counselor, is the group facilitator. Meetings will continue for another four weeks, if there is interest.

The group focuses on the period of grief and transition following a loss, such as the death of a family member or friend, a miscarriage or loss of home or livelihood.

Guidance will be provided to help with learning to cope. Personal experiences will be shared.

Sessions are free, but donations are accepted. Those interested in the support group are encouraged to bring along a supportive partner.
