Boy Scouts plan chili, chicken soup supper
Salina's Troop 5 Boy Scouts will hold their annual Chili and Chicken Noodle Soup Supper and Silent Auction from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12, at the Kansas Wesleyan University cafeteria, at the corner of Highland and Claflin streets.
Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 12 and younger and $3 for college students with valid college I.D. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any Troop 5 Boy Scout or by calling Rae Ann Chavez, 452-3496. Tickets also may be purchased at the door.
The meal includes a choice of homemade chili or chicken noodle soup, crackers, vegetables, a drink and homemade dessert, Carry-out will be available.
Available at the silent auction will be items donated from local businesses and from the Boy Scouts and their families, such as gift certificates for hair cuts, meals at local restaurants, movie nights, photographs and other items.
All proceeds will be used to help pay for Boy Scout troop activities such as campouts and camping equipment.
