Girl Scouts of the Heartland is working with Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure to offer "Journey to the Wild Side, Girl Scout Day at the Zoo" on Aug. 28.
Girl Scouts and future Girl Scouts in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to enjoy animal stations and live animal programs.
Girl Scout staff and volunteers will be at the zoo to register potential Girl Scouts as members and reregister Girl Scouts for the new school year. Girl Scout membership costs $12 a year, and membership forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Registration and activities are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $5 a Girl Scout and includes activities and a patch. Admission for girls ages 3-12 who aren't scouts costs $5, and for adults, $10.
