Salina group plans prayer vigil
Awaken Salina, which is opposed to the addition of sexual orientation and gender identity to Salina's current human relations ordinance, plans a prayer vigil from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church, Ohio and Magnolia streets.
The purpose of the vigil is "to (worship) and pray informed prayers for our community regarding proposed changes to Salina City Ordinance Chapter 13," according to a flier announcing the vigil.
According to the Facebook page announcing the vigil, Paul A. Ibbetson, of Manhattan, is scheduled to speak.
