Salinans for Life will host a political candidate forum at 7 p.m. Monday in the Prescott Room on the lower level of the Salina Public Library.

All candidates seeking election to the Kansas Legislature in districts that include all or part of Saline County have been invited.

Clarke Sanders, president of Salinans for Life, said members of the group realize there are many important issues facing state legislators, but the purpose of the forum is to inform voters about candidates' position on "abortion and other life issues."

Sanders will moderate. Candidates will be invited to make opening and closing statements. Candidates also will be asked to respond to three questions prepared by Salinans for Life board members and to questions from the public, if time allows. The forum will end by 8:30 p.m.

The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.
