Students to see cowboy culture

12/14/2008

HANOVER -- Although most people will observe Kansas' birthday the next day, students will get a jump on Kansas Day festivities when they visit Hollenberg Pony Express Station State Historic Site on Jan. 28.

The highlight of this year's celebration will be a program by Don Rowlison, "Out of the Bedroll," a demonstration of historic clothing and cowboy culture of the late 19th century. Rowlison is the site administrator of Cottonwood Ranch State Historic Site in northwest Kansas.
