4 hurt in Norton County crash

NORTON - Two Norton County and two Phillips County residents were taken to hospitals after a head-on collision Thursday afternoon on U.S. Highway 36 east of Norton.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Lacy Zillinger, 25, of Speed, was driving east on U.S. 36, 3.6 miles east of Norton, at 4:10 p.m. when the vehicle she was driving was struck head-on by a car driven by Brett Post, 19, of Prairie View.
According to the report, Post’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck Zillinger’s vehicle.
Post and Zillinger were flown to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Neb. A call to Good Samaritan Hospital was not returned.
Post’s passenger Dalton McFarland, 20, of Norton, and Zillinger’s passenger, Joel Zillinger, 6, of Speed, were taken to Norton County Hospital. A spokeswoman for the hospital said McFarland and Joel Zillinger were not listed as patients Friday.
According to the report, Post, McFarland and the Zillingers were wearing seat belts.
