Sirens sound but no damage, injuries reported

Tornado sirens were sounded in Salina about 8:45 p.m. Friday as a “precautionary measure” after a tornado was reported to have touched down between New Cambria and Solomon, according to Jennifer Ewing, a dispatcher with the Salina Police Department. However, Ewing said there were no reports of damage or injuries in Saline County. A dispatcher with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office also said she had received no reports of damage or injuries as of about 9:20 p.m. Friday.
