Applicants sought for teachers program

The Salina Education Foundation is accepting applications for its Loan Initiative for Future Teachers (LIFT) program.
This program provides college loans of up to $5,000 to Saline County residents who want to become teachers. The loans can be forgiven when graduates teach in Saline County schools.
Deadline for applications is Jan. 31.
