Salina man killed in crash

A 22-year-old Salina man died Saturday when the car he was driving left Interstate Highway 135 traveling at more than 90 miles an hour.
Maurice E. Smith, 310 E. North, No. 31, was killed when the car went off the west side of the road near mile post 92 at 4:52 a.m., striking a wire fence and a utility pole by Centennial Road, said Salina Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield.
Police are not working the crash as an accident, Mansfield said.
