Grant received for electronic health records system
12/2/2009
Central Kansas Mental Health Center has received a $25,000 grant from the Tower Mental Health Foundation to help purchase software for a transition to an updated electronic health record system.
Central Kansas Mental Health Center, which serves Dickinson, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Ottawa and Saline Counties, has been presented with an opportunity to partner on technology with another mental health center, eliminating the need for the center to purchase a stand alone system at a higher cost. The cost savings leaves more resources for direct client care.
The Tower Foundation was created as a result of the settlement between the Kansas Attorney General’s Office and the Menninger Foundation. Tower is a not for profit corporation formed in 2007. It provides support to organizations that provide mental health services to Kansas.
