Salinan arrested on drug charges

A Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle driving without headlights Monday night and ended up arresting a passenger in the car for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and seizing $4,600 in cash.
Michael Walters, 24, 1853 Simmons, was arrested on felony drug charges after he was found to be in possession of 5.1 grams of what's believed to be marijuana and the cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs, Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said.
Theodore Pearson, 29, 736 Sheridan, who was driving the vehicle, was ticketed for driving without headlights and other traffic violations after the traffic stop at 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 13th and North streets, Kochanowski said.
