CONCORDIA -- Five people were taken to Cloud County Medical Center in Concordia on Saturday after two pickup trucks crashed in a Cloud County intersection four miles west and a mile south of Concordia.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Derrick Revell, 22, of Jamestown, was southbound on 100th Road, when the pickup he was driving collided at 1:32 p.m. with a pickup driven by Chad Burt, 35, of Olathe.

Revell and Burt were both injured, along with three of four passengers riding with Burt. Those were Dennis Burt, 59, of Belleville; Ashlyn Burt, 6, of Olathe; and John Gibson, 17, of Less Summit, Mo. Passenger David Gibson, 56, of Less Summit, was not injured. All were wearing seat belts or the proper restraints.

The hospital did not release patient information.
