An 11-year-old Brookville boy who wrecked his family’s car when he tried driving it Thursday was not injured.
The boy apparently drove the 2003 PT Cruiser from a Brookville home at about 9 a.m. and entered the ditch near the intersection of Schilling and Brownhill roads, said Sheriff Glen Kochanowski.
Kochanowksi did not identify the boy because of his age.
The vehicle rolled onto its side and then flipped onto its top before coming to rest on its side in the road, he said.
The boy was cited for driving without a license, driving left of center, no seat belt and criminal deprivation of property.
Kochanowski said the vehicle, valued at $9,000, was extensively damaged.
