Couple sell land, building back to airport authority

Art and Mary Adams bought 1.02 acres of land in April 1978 from the Salina Airport Authority. They built a building to store a truck and camper trailer.

On Wednesday, the authority bought the land and building back for $35,000. The retired couple no longer had their truck and trailer and had no use for their building, Art Adams said. As it turned out, the airport authority needed the space.

Military units that train at the Smoky Hill Weapons range need space to store their practice bombs and other ordnance.
