ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis police are investigating the deaths of two people inside a home, but believe it was a murder-suicide.
Family members called police to the home Sunday afternoon. Authorities say 71-year-old Robert Heckel and his son-in-law, 51-year-old James Hart, both died of gunshot wounds.
Police told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that evidence indicated Hart likely shot his father-in-law then turned the gun on himself. Relatives told police the two had argued Saturday night after Hart had a physical confrontation with his wife, Heckel's daughter.
