Expo survey results now online at www.salina.com

The full survey concerning improvements to the Saline County Livestock and Expo Center is now available at the Salina Journal's Web site, www.salina.com.

The survey by researchers at Kansas Wesleyan University was commissioned to gauge the level of public support for building a new center to replace the facilities in Kenwood Park. About 61 percent of respondents said the facilities need improvement. But just 3.9 percent said they would choose to increase property taxes to fund the work.

The survey documents online include the questions, the results in chart form and a report. The survey was mailed at the end of September to a random sample of 1,000 Saline County registered voters; 365 people responded.

DKW says....
This is not the time to be asking for more taxes, especially for a County Facility that most of us will never personally use!!! Let the economy stabilize first.
