Burglars cause nearly $7,000 loss, damage

A burglary at Mid-Kansas Co-Op, 821 N. Broadway, resulted in the loss and damage of nearly $7,000.

According to a Salina Police Department report, a glass entry door and steel door were damaged during a burglary attempt at Mid-Kansas Co-Op that occurred between 5:15 p.m. Thursday and 7:25 a.m. Friday.

Taken from the business was a green safe with unknown contents, a computer monitor and computer towers, the report said.

Estimated merchandise loss and damage to the building was $6,680. No other information was available Saturday.
