Drug investigation yields two more arrests

Two more people were arrested Thursday in connection with a seven-month undercover drug investigation dubbed Operation Full Throttle.

Salinans Brenda Forristal, 42, 126 S. Clark, and Lois Williams, 58, 116 S. Chicago, each face numerous drug charges, including possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield. He said more arrests are expected.

The undercover operation came to an end a week ago, when 10 Salina homes were searched and 16 people were arrested for their alleged involvement in a methamphetamine distribution organization. During the searches, officers seized about 9.5 ounces of meth, more than five pounds of marijuana, $12,500 in cash and eight firearms, Salina Police Chief Jim Hill announced at a press conference.
