The USAF brought me to Salina in '62, and I spent 4-years @ what used to be Schilling Air Force Base. I continued to live in Salina until 1973, and enjoyed the area very much. I worked for KAFM-FM Radio, and later KLSI-AM Radio. I played drums in a local Band, (The "SAWYERS") and remember playing often at a local niteclub in town. (The Lamplighter I think) Anyway, I have some really great memories that will never be forgotten. I'd love to hear from my old Band chums if you're out there.

I lived in Salina from March 1942 till October 1947 I went to Hawthorn Elementary for grade 6, Roosevelt Jr High 7 & 8 Lincoln High 9 &I 10 and Washington 11 and beginning of 12th grade when we moved to McPherson where I finished High School.
