PHILLIPS COUNTY -- Ida M. Carpenter, 90, died March 10, 2010. She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Phillips County to Fred and Anna Schoeller. Preceded in death by: husband, James; daughter, Ann Schultz; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors: son, James (Grace), of Weston, Fla.; daughter, Helen Thomas (Tom), of Emporia; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
