A truck was pursued by a van from Salina to Brookville Friday night after the truck hit the van and fled the scene of the crash.
According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, a truck with Wyoming tags struck a van at about 7 p.m. while leaving the parking lot of a bar in the 600 block of Broadway. The truck left the scene and was pursued by the driver of the van, who called 911 from his cell phone.
The van pursued the truck along Kansas Highway 140 to the outskirts of Brookville when the truck was stopped by sheriff’s officers. The driver of the truck was arrested for driving under the influence.
The names of the drivers were not released Friday night by the sheriff’s office.
