Nebraska woman hurt in crash in Cloud County

A Nebraska woman was injured early Wednesday after her vehicle rolled on U.S. Highway 81 in Cloud County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Suzuki SUV driven by Kayla McCarthy, 20, of Grand Island was northbound on U.S. 81, about three miles north of the junction with U.S. 24, when it entered the median. The SUV then went into the east ditch and rolled onto its top.

The crash occurred at about 6:45 a.m.

McCarthy was taken to Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. She was not listed as a patient Wednesday evening.

McCarthy was wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol’s report.
