EMS Week Activities Set
The Salina Fire Department has several activities planned this week to observe EMS Week.
Emergency medical technicians and paramedics are visiting assisted living homes to talk to residents about high blood pressure, diabetes, proper medication use and the importance of emergency contact numbers.
As they drive through the city, they'll also be on the lookout for children wearing bicycle helmets. Green Lantern has provided coupons for candy bars that will be given to children "caught" wearing helmets.
People who want a tour may stop by any station between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Friday. The stations are at 222 W. Elm; 1110 S. Santa Fe; 2633 Belmont and 669 Briarcliff. Group tours may be scheduled by calling 826-7340.
