MENTOR -- Kansas State University soil fertility specialists Dave Mengel and Dorivar Ruiz-Diaz are featured at this season's first Coffee Shop Agronomy meeting from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mentor fire station.
The educational gatherings are organized by the Central Kansas Extension District, covering Ottawa and Saline counties.
Other meetings are planned at the same time and place on Feb. 24, focusing on vertical tillage and no-till cropping systems, and March 2, focusing on weed control and herbicide resistance. To learn more, call Tom Maxwell, agricultural Extension agent, at 309-5850.
